Endovascular
Emboflow is a permanent vascular embolization system for arteriovenous malformations and hypervascular tumors, made of ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) polymer in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and tantalum powder microspheres.
Characteristics
Control &Fluidity
Emboflow navigates in a fluid pace, forming a cohesive
embolus of high and sustained radiopacity for a longer
period due to Ta-sphere technology, which gives tantalum its
ideal size and shape.
Two Viscosities
Emboflow is available in two viscosities (34cSt and 18cSt)* to promote different ranges
Emboflow 18
Recommended for intermediate flow injections of distal embolizations**
Emboflow 34
Recommended for high-flow injections of proximal embolizations**
Excellent Radiopacity
Ta-Sphere Technology
Ta-Sphere technology gives tantalum a microspherical size and shape. Thanks to this process, Emboflow has excellent navigability due to less friction and a lower risk of aggregation. It also promotes a longer suspension time and excellent radiopacity.
Indication of use
Permanent embolization of:
– Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs)
– Central or peripheral hypervascularized tumors.
Low Risk of Adhesion to the Microcatheter
The Emboflow, after contact with blood, solidifies from the outside to the inside and forms a cohesive embolus that reduces the risk of fragmentation and entrapment of the microcatheter
